The Paris Climate Change Agreement set the goals to secure a sustainable future for all, and now countries must translate those goals into concrete action. In their national climate action plans (Nationally Determined Contributions or "NDCs"), each country set out what they plan to contribute to the agreement's key objective, which is to hold the global average temperature rise to as close as possible to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

At a recent webinar titled “National Climate Plans (NDCs): Blueprints for a Global Transformation”, participants found out how the NDCs open up a new universe of opportunities for economic cooperation and partnership to implement plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience to climate change. You can now watch the webinar here.

UNFCCC experts Claudio Forner, Team Lead at the Mitigation, Data and Analysis programme, and Dr. Koko Warner, Manager of Impacts, Vulnerability and Risks subprogramme participated webinar, namely SD Talk, organized by the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in partnership with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
