To coincide with New York Climate Week, the UN and the governments of France and Peru today added data to the climate action portal, NAZCA, that clearly demonstrates how leading cities, regions, companies and investors are acting to protect the climate and build resilience.

This information adds crucial momentum to global efforts to reach an effective new, universal climate change agreement in Paris in December of this year.

The data includes 93 commitments from companies, investors, cities, and subnational regions across four new Lima-Paris Action Agenda cooperative initiatives (Bonn Challenge, Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance, Renewables LCTPi, United for Efficiency), 55 new signatories the Compact of Mayors, 12 new signatories to the Montréal Carbon Pledge, and 1 new signatory to Science based targets. The Lima-Paris Action Agenda aims to add many more signatories in the lead-up to the Paris climate negotiations.

Join the NAZCA initiatives.

The huge groundswell of climate action also supports the Lima to Paris Action Agenda, which aims at demonstrating the commitment of non-state actors to reaching a new and ambitious legal agreement in 2015. Read about and see the Lima to Paris Action Agenda initiatives on its dedicated website
