The UNFCCC’s Momentum for Change initiative has launched its new, fully digital and interactive 2014 Annual Report, which helps showcase the growing groundswell of climate action ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris in December in the form of practical, scalable and replicable solutions to climate change by people, businesses, governments and industries.

The fully-digital report presents the initiative’s milestones from last year and tells the stories of the 12 winners of the 2014 Momentum for Change Awards in an engaging and creative way.

In the annual report’s foreword, UNFCCC's Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres writes:

As you read through this annual report, I hope you will feel inspired by the incredible work underway around the world to address climate change. I encourage you to let these stories serve as a beacon of hope, guiding us ever closer towards a low-carbon, highly resilient future.

By using a combination of infographics, animation, photos and videos, the annual report makes data digestible. These interactive elements show the real results and growing numbers the winning activities are having in tackling climate change.

Data is a key part of the design so that users can see an impressive by-the-numbers recap of initiative's major milestones, while at the same time feel inspired by the climate action underway around the world.

The Report also showcases some of Momentum for Change’s other highlights in 2014, including its celebrity partnerships, the work of its Advisory Panel and its events at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Lima, Peru in December of last year.

The Report is responsive, meaning it can be viewed on a computer, tablet or mobile phone. This is the first time that Momentum for Change has produced a fully digital annual report.
