Climate Change Assessments for Developing Country Cities
As part of UNHABITAT’s Sustainable Urban Development Network (SUD-Net), the organization’s Cities and Climate Change Initiative promotes enhanced climate change mitigation and adaptation in developing country cities. In this context, the initiative specifically supports the development of pro-poor innovative approaches to climate change policies and strategies.
The Initiative develops, adapts and disseminates the methodologies that put city managers and practitioners in a better position to cope with climate change. The Cities and Climate Change Initiative also promotes collaboration by local authorities and their associations in global, regional and national networks.
To these ends, UNHABITAT regularly publishes climate change assessments for developing country cities.
